Portrait Painting Demonstration

with Acclaimed Teaching Artist Chuck Prudhomme of Redding
A rare opportunity to watch and learn from a masterful teacher. Prudhomme will begin & complete an oil painting portrait right before our eyes. Chuck will also share parts of his fascinating life as a Vietnam helicopter pilot and growing up in Africa.
One audience member will pose and take home their own Prudhomme painted portrait!
Wine & appetizers will be served.

Richard MacDonald: Artist Interview

(1) His decades-long artistic journey with a camera
(2) Stories his Dad, Dr. Dick MacDonald shared of his days practicing medicine at Soledad Prison.

Open Sky Gallery: Dignity, Justice & Well-being through Art is proud to announce the launch of a national exhibit of museum quality photography and art. Photography from Jan LaFontaine portraying women ages 19 - 95 who have overcome previous abuse in their lives. LaFontaine, a former social worker, collaborated with each woman to create an uplifting portrait showing how they have risen above abuse. Two regional artists' paintings work in a complementary manner to highlight this powerful show.
